I am looking forward to some late night bluegrass tonight at the Cluck Grunt and Low. We go on at 103pm and play till 1am and don't forget there is a late kitchen open with some really good BBQ!

If you want to see what you are up for you can go to the Shinhackers myspace site.

Hope to see you there.

I guess this may become my home for listing all my freelance, local fun gigs that I do. Here is the note I just sent out to my email list in case you are not on it. (drop me a line at tim@guildwoodrecords.com if you want to be)

hi folks,

It occurs to me that my recent, somewhat frequent gig-mailings have been very bluegrass-centric . I wanted to apologize for that as there may be one or two of you on this list that don't love the bluegrass music as much as I do. (although I find that hard to believe)

So, I wanted to start by telling you that the Cluttertones are performing the original and improvised music of Rob Clutton this Wednesday night at Somewhere There from 8-10pm(www.somewherethere.org) This will also be a birthday hang for our pal Ron Gaskin who is turning 60.

Yes. Yes yes yes, the Shinhackers continue our residencies at the Eton House (Pape and Danforth) on Thursdays from 9-11pm and Fridays at the Cluck Grunt and Low (Bloor just west of Spadina) from 11pm-130am. Stay tuned at: www.myspace.com/theshinhackers

Also on Sunday April 26, David Buchbinder is starting a regular gig and has me playing Klezmer banjo (and some guitar) at the new favourite Deli in town; Caplansky's which is on Clinton south of College (inside the Monarch Tavern!) We are doing two sets starting at 3pm.

Starting soon Andrew Downing and I will recommence our weekly Tim and Andrew's neighborhood Goodtimes band at Todo (Ossington at Dundas) Mondays at 9pm for May and June. (I will be playing banjo and Andrew plays cello on a blend of original and standard jazz and folky songs)

Hope this finds you healthy and happy.

tim
p.s. Yes, I have a new CD coming from the Tim Posgate Hornband in May; the next email should have all those fun details about Banjo Hockey.
