Took my boys to the Distillery Jazz Fest today. Heard some friends play. Great location. Beautiful buildings. Still, quite unfinished.
I found something kind of strange about the vibe of the festival. It kind of seemed like everyone was busking. Maybe it was because
it was daytime, family vibe etc. Maybe I am just getting too serious for my own good but I really prefer playing, more controlled
environments with really good sound. Anyways, congrats to all involved...Toronto needs it!

Finallly made it down to the Power Plant show. It closes Saturday, and I would highly reccomned it. The Madden film is
very cool and the Winnipeg collective is highly provocative and beautiful in a unique (and childlike) way.

maybe i am grumpy but i am not enjoying the bom-like sounds in the air tonight for victoria day. i guess it is asking too
much of kids to see the irony in the bomb like sounds. i never really liked fireworks. oh well...no big deal. glad we dont
hear those sounds every day in Canada.

I am having so much fun watching Yellow Submarine these days. I am not sure if it is because I am watching it with my four year old son or it is just great. It is so funny, beautiful and more. Even better getting it from the Library, if I could just get them back
in time. Must check out other Beatles movies...I really did miss the sixties!
