I remember when I played in high school rock bands, the big gag was switching instruments. Today I had a lot of fun, getting together with two friends who are among the best players in the whole Country on their respective instruments....but we kinda switched. Or I guess we all adopted new instruments.

It was a trio with drums, harmonium and electric fretless bass. Very fun!! I hope I wasn't sworn to secrecy...I forget already. (yes, it was me laying down the non-grooves on the skins!) I dont think we will be doing a gig next week but it was so much fun, I think we will do it again.

here is a post from last saturday:

I was excited to be turning on my computer after a long day of traveling, and performing here in Wakefield.

I was excited by my newfound technology but not as excited to find that it is 313am…knowing we are planning to meet at ten am.

I love it here at the blacksheep in. Paul Symes is a great man. Very generous, interesting and friendly. And how bout that Bill Stunt. Hanging out a bit tonight was like listening to bandwidth. He is very cool too.

Ihave now seen the Dinner is Ruined at least three times and they have been completely different every time.

We had a good show. I love feeling like we have communicated with your audience. That was the case tonight. Sold some cds tooo.

We were a little rough around the edges but I felt the spirit of the band prevailed.

Goodnight all.

Tired tim,

I love sitting here in my van, in my driveway, looking out at the park and listening to the radio. It is even more fun now that I can be online in the car. I think I like sitting still in the van because when it is moving, it is usually me who is driving. Now I can look around and relax a little.

I am sad about the Leafs, I have not had time to analyse or digest my sadness but I have gained back part of my life...ie the time and emotional commitment that goes with being a serious fan.

Have a great day, and hug the ones you love.

After this weekend's Jazzstory mini-tour, I am reminded how impossible almost everything I do would be were it not for the help and committment of many good friends and my family.

thanks to Lina, Rob and Jean for being great friends and amazing musicians.

btw...there WERE 31 bagels left in the van when we arrived!
