For those of you with too many Cds but you want a few tracks of mine downloaded onto your computer you can go to itunes and get them for $.99 each.

I always thought if there was a way to get in touch with the tens of thousands of people who buy the new Bill Frisell record that comes out each year and get them to hear some of my music they would probably be interested. (especially the Hornband record with Howard Johnson which sounds a bit like his quartet record with Curtis Fowlkes, Ron Miles and Evynd Kang that he made years ago and never did another one)

Well, now that I have a myspace site I can troll the waters looking for people who consider Bill Frisell one of their influences (and let me tell you there are many!) and send them an invite to "be my friend" as they say in the Myspace world.

Will be interesting to see what kind of reaction (if any) I get from the people I have contacted so far.

Today is one of those days where I stick with CBC radio past a bit of morning news and listen to Anna-Maria Tremonte (sp?) on the Current (CBC radio 1). She is quite good. Two interesting stories, the second doesn't start till the last hour of the show (9-10?...930-1030?)

Interesting that people will be voting in the US today using email. Very exciting. It seems obvious to me that someday soon we should be able to do this in a safe and secure way.

The second story is that the "car" will be on trial on her show. Apparently 3,000 people die every day from car accidents. This is not even mentioning the deaths by pollution in cities. I look forward to this show but will miss some to head to yoga.

p.s. the other big story is that I am playing guitar these days with my banjo picks on my fingers...maybe not big news to you but try eating with your feet or another major change after 33 years of doing it another way.

I was happy to notice this evening that you are now able to buy single tracks for .99 or the whole Tim Posgate Hornband featuring Howard Johnson cd for 9.99 at the itunes store online.

Also, guess what...I did it. I have a myspace page...my 100 year old grandma probably has one by now but you can see mine here.

Just back from my Sunday hockey game. It is only my third game with these guys but I am starting to feel more comfortable with them (even got a goal tonight) Maybe I was inspired by that great win the Leafs had over the Sabres on Saturday. They should walk all over Philly tommorrow.

I really look forward to mondays as the weekends don't offer much time for music. I do love the family time and hockey with the boys is really my favourite thing in the world.

After I play hockey it is all i can do to type this little post so I think I will curl up with Ann-Marie MacDonald (so to speak) and try to get closer to finishing this massive book "As the Crow Flies" The end is quite unusual. Not really a weird twist or anything, just don't really get why it is going where it is going...maybe the twist is yet to come.

Recently, the King of Sweden was at the Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame and a reporter asked him if he followed hockey...the King looked at the reporter like he was an idiot and replied "of course." Gotta like that king!! (that was for Maria in Sweden!)
