The Shinhackers are:

Chay N. Sawin' - fiddle
Limb Dodgin' - banjo
Trucker - Guitar

A trashy, prairie girl at heart, Chay N. Sawin' is excited about entering the hip and sophisticated world of Toronto. An immigrant from Vancouver, she is an actor, singer, writer, teacher and fiddler. Her biggest influence is her grandpa who played fiddle til the age of 95, touring in a band that played dances in southern Saskatchewan. His wife (Grandma Dorothy) would get angry if he was home later than 10 pm. His name is Ben and his band was called The Has Bens.

Limb Dodgin's new CD; Banjo Hocky is being released under the pseudonym Tim Posgate in the spring on Vancouver's Black Hen Music. Watch for a big summer tour 2009 with the Tim Posgate Hornband featuring American tuba legend Howard Johnson. In the meantime look for him at bluegrass jams and hockey rinks everywhere. www.guildwoodrecords.com

Trucker plays guitar to make him feel better about his life. Between lying, cheating and stealing, he has managed to put together a few songs with his fellow Shinhackers. Over the years, Trucker (also known as Jo Lotter) has played with the Sunken River Bluegrass Band which became the Wrecking Yard before ending up as scrap metal, and the Cross-tuned Experience which quickly became the cross-eyed experience. His real job is working in a nutcracker factory for the month of December followed by a long period of seasonal unemployment.
