Last night I caught Geordie Haley and his Everytime Band at Mitzi's Sister. This is quite a cool little spot
to hear music. Good vibe. People seem cool there...sound is usually pretty good.

Geordie's Green Suite sounded great. I was looking forward to hearing this. There are so many influences that
we share (although I havent confirmed this) such as King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Steve Coleman... and the list
goes on. All the members of the band sounded really good but Jean Martin and Christine Duncan both knoced me
out.

I arrived feeling tired and under the weather and left in a much better space. Yahh Geordie, Yahh Green Sutie

Special Note: I was flattered to be included in the short list for best jazz guitarist in the Canadian Jazz
Awards. More on this later.

Looking forward to tommorrows show at 319 Spadina. 730-10pm. Martin Arnold followed by Clutton, Tielli and West.

Saw John Millards new work in Progress yesterday. It was a reading of a remake of A Brecht musical.

It was really good. Lots of great writing, reading....fun time. And is the Gladstone bar ever a great venue.

I would like to perform there...we were even talking about a John Millard Happy Day, Jazzstory double bill
there...you never know...watch here for details.

Seeing this reading reminded me how rich and exciting musical theatre is and how important our
arts councils support of this type of work is!! Yeah CC, OAC, TAC keep up the good work.
