It was so great to hear Laurie Anderson give a lecture/talk yesterday. She is so smart, sexy and quite the entertainer. I feel kind of guilty saying she is sexy. Really, I am attracted to her mind and her heart and soul. Whatever....anyways, she got me thinking about so many things.

One of the main things that she really didnt address but that I scraped off of one of her other ideas was the "art of business paradigm" that I use. I write music, rehearse, record, press, distribute, tour and do it again. This is on my mind as I am in the process of doing it right now.

She inspired me to look elsewhere for new directions, new paradigms. Maybe other artforms or business models will give me some ideas.

funny to hear a great artist talk and be inspired on a business tip...I am leaving out all the other interestng life/art concepts that she awoke or inspired in me because I need to get to the post office to mail cds quickly before I go play hockey. (Today is the Mingus Cup!!!)

Just read a good interview with Laurie Anderson talking about her Moby Dick project. I really want to check that out. I am suppose to go see her talk tommorrow but Dylan is sick again. It never ends!! Probably stay home with him.

I am listening to WFMU while i do some surfin tonight....I drop the dj a quick hello and he responds on air....why do I still find this so amusing? Technology, small world....

LA has some interesting things to say about our world, overworked, unrelaxed people etc.

It occurred to me tonight while I was changing Leo's diaper between Dylan's puking sessions that parenting is not for those with weak stomachs!! Word of advice if you are thinking of going down this road.

until next time,

Call me Ishael...

so much fun strolling with Leo today. Hours and hours go by. Easy to run away from other problems. It is almost as good as drinking but better for me. hahah

got a couple new shirts for summer concerts (it is the only time I buy clothes....pre tours) wish I bought the running shoes I saw...

I will really miss strolling. This will be our last summer for it for sure.
