I am not really sure what to write about. I have been fortunate to check out so much art lately. It is great
to have some space between my own projects, recharge, read, see films, concerts etc.

I watched Egoyans Arrarat last night. Pretty great. I like all his films. I was interesting watching work by
a veteran like himself after watching some short films the night before at the film festival by some young
film makers. One of them was Peter Lynch, his short animal rock and roll dream was quite a trip!

I also got to hear Rez Abassi playing at the Senator with Anthony Michelli, Duncan Hopkins and Tony Malabi
great music, great band, great musicians. (and I am a pretty picky listener!)

I am reading The Conversations by Michael Ondaatje. It is interviews with legendary film editor Walter
Murch. I love it. It is in the Toronto Library system too! A great way for me to learn more about the art
of film.

Finally, have been listening to Arvo Part and a piece called Ta Deum. I love choral music and this is like
a gift from the heavens or something. It is quite unbelievable how beautiful it is! Until next time!

The Guelph Festival was great. What a treat to hear Steve Lacy. He played lots of his tunes I recognised and
some from the new disc. Irene was not there. I missed her sound in that group, although it was a nice change
to hear Steve "alone" too.

Mark Dresser was truly amazing. What a bass player and what a composer. I am really looking forward to Monday night at the Rex with Tony Wilson
