This is an old photo I like of jazzstory at Cest What with special guest Peter McPhee.

I am excited to be back in the jazzstory saddle again. We are performing at St FX University on Wednesday and then Thursday night in Halifax (At the church on North Street 5657 North street halifax.) Then Friday and Saturday same venue for two special concerts with many great Halifax players and Composers and Special Guest Tena Palmer

It has been fun working on some new repertoire and just looking forward to spending some time with these guys on the road again.

And of course, we are performing in Toronto on Nov 27 at the Grand Festival of Autumnal Happiness

Get there early as it is a double bill with Bob Wiseman, and a small room so....will probably be sold out.

People often ask me if I like being a home owner. I really do only about half the time. tonight is the really bad half.

Plumbing problems. Looks like it could cost the type of money it takes me a year to make. (no joke)

If you are sitting in your rented apartment reading this...think twice about getting into the house game. Maybe mutual funds is a better idea.

We are really lucky so far our neighbour Nick is guiding us through this but the shit is about to hit the fan. (most literally)

my friends who tour on buses regularly always laugh at me for this but I am so jealous. Now it is even worse; across the street at the Mod Club, all the bands park their buses right in front for me to drool over.

Yah, I know...weird eh? I have never even been on one let aone toured...I think it goes way back for me seeing them in rock videos on tv when I wanted to be a rockstar as a kid.

some itches never go away.

all in all it was a pretty great weekend. We were a little bummed out that our large finely carved pumpkin was stolen sometime saturday night. We soon forgot about that after having a great day at the Herbie benefit at the Rex.

Halloween was a gas too. A warmup party at Gary and Sharon's, I took batman and Superman around the neighbourhood and saw lots of friends and smiling faces! (who says the city is a cold place to live?)

I even got my piece finished for the big Halifax concert in November. Here comes monday, beware of those "timechange blahhs!"
