Here is the other neat gig this weekend as part of the Global Cabaret Festival at the Young Centre for the performing arts. It doesn't mention that myself, Rob Clutton and Dave Restivo will be backing up all these singers but yes; we will be the band.

This happens Friday and Saturday night.

The Songbook Series: Multi-Artist Tributes to Master Songwriters

The legendary Leonard Cohen is arguably the most influential Canadian singer/songwriter of our time. He is the fantasy of every English major, coffeehouse poet and aching romantic and his songs of love, lust, and loneliness have been covered by artists the world over, including Jennifer Warnes, U2, REM, Beth Orton, Sting, Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright and kd lang. He has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is a Companion of the Order of Canada. Last year, at age 73, Leonard Cohen embarked on a world tour, which has sold out major concert halls across Europe.
