I just read Ian Brown's article from the Saturday Globe (yes I still read it occasionally) and I am a mess. How do you do anything after reading the sad and detailed description of the life of a boy with a rare genetic disorder and his family. I want to go get my kids from school and hug them again and again.

I want to help these people (I am not sure I could) Do I ever feel stupid practicing banjo all the time...seems so trite to me now...so sad, so real, so beautiful.

I would recommend reading it...especially if you find yourself feeling sorry for yourself for any reason these days. This will get you thinking...for sure.

It is a long article...set aside twenty minutes and a big box of tissues.
