Do you know anyone other than me that constantly goes into video (DVD) stores, looks around, sometimes for half an hour and comes out empty handed?

Yes, I think it is kinda weird too. I do enjoy it though.

I have the feeling it has to do with not wanting to make a committment to watching a whole movie, but enjoy reading the back of the packages, looking at the artwork etc.

I do this in record stores too.

My only real reference for this is David Mott (while he was my prof at York) saying that he liked to spend time in record stores and bookstores and found it inspiring just to be around all that creativity.
