watching the olympics has reminded me how "in vogue" it seems to be un-patriotic. I find this to be especially true with Canadians in the arts community. I am not sure why.

I quite enjoy the patriotic feeling. It crosses over to so many things; Hockey, Jazz and other artforms. I guess one reason I continue to be patriotic is I feel like I am ON the team. ie., I am Canadian!

I want to see those that live near me, relatively speaking, do well. I will cheer for and support the Canadian film makers, jazz artists, painters and the Olympic squad.

I guess it was passed on to me, and I will pass it on to my kids (both are wearing canada tshirts this morning that they received as gifts.
