I was just trying to describe to someone why an artist is never really happy. Is it true? Is it possible the more serious and
committed you become to your work the less happy you will be? Generally, I am very, very happy. My life is amazing. I am speaking of the underlying feeling of never having enough time, ideas, talent whatever to take an idea to the point of being finished or
perfected.

I often comment on how many unhappy artists I know. Perhaps they are just more committed than I am.
