I haven't been blogging again. It is somewhat ironic as I have way more to talk about when I get busy like this but so little time on my hands. I also wonder if it is the little input and output that goes into Facebook each day that takes away the appeal of posting here.

Anyhow, the times they are good. I am playing more bluegrass than ever (which is kicking my butt). I guess that might be part of the reason I use the pseudonym Limb Dodgin' when I perform with the Shinhackers. (also because it is just fun to have another name) The banjo is coming in handy for lots of things though as I am playing some Klezmer music with David Buchbinder which is also a great challenge and full of new discoveries. I continue to perform with Ronley Teper and the Lipliners and all the other wacky sessions and gigs that seem to go with being a guy that can play the banjo and guitar, read, improvise and spew out trivia about the Toronto Maple Leafs at the same time. (haha)

Funny that I have chosen to talk about my new CD last. I guess that is the nature of my life as I think about what is on my plate for each day ahead. Banjo Hockey is being released in Canada on May 12 on Black Hen Music and we are touring out west for July 4-13 including a June 3 gig here at the Trane during the Jazz Festival.

I am also working on an East Coast tour for the Hornband. We are all a bit sad to be touring without Howard Johnson this time out but it is very exciting to have Jay Burr on board as he can really play the tuba.

Time for bed as I am up early with the kids tommorrow as I am everyday. Don't forget to check out Limb Dodgin and the Shinhackers every thursday night in April at the Eton House on the Danforth and every Friday night 11pm-130am at the Cluck Grunt and Low on Bloor near Spadina.

see ya!

ps. Watch for the return of Andrew and Tim's Goodtimes Neighborhood band in May and June on Mondays at Todo.
